I am a communications and media development leader with more than 20 years of experience across humanitarian action, human and environmental rights, institutional communication, and international cooperation. My work has taken me across domestic and international contexts, including conflict and post-conflict countries, crisis-hit regions, and complex multicultural environments.
Over the years, I have held senior management and leadership positions with international organisations and INGOs, including Director General of the Greek Section of Amnesty International, Managing Director at MEDASSET, Delegate – Communication Coordinator with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Colombia and Rwanda, and Regional Communication and Humanitarian Diplomacy Senior Officer with the IFRC Europe Office in Hungary and Greece.
In my role with the IFRC, I undertook missions in crisis-affected regions, including the EU–Belarus border crisis, the Ukraine armed conflict, and the Central Mediterranean Search and Rescue operation aboard the Ocean Viking.
I currently serve as Regional Team Leader for a €3.5 million EU-funded programme supporting public service journalism and media reform in the Western Balkans. I lead a diverse regional team working with Public Service Broadcasters to strengthen quality journalism, media innovation, and public-interest content.
I hold four Master’s degrees: in Political Sciences from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Strasbourg, in International Relations with a focus on communication from Marc Bloch University in Strasbourg, in International and European Law from the University of Nantes and in Media and Climate from the University Paris-Saclay. I also hold a BA in Economy and Administration of Tourism Enterprises and speak English, French, Spanish, and Greek fluently.
